Integrated Arts

If you have a passion for the arts but think there's no way you can make a living in the field, think again.

Gain a broad understanding of the role of the arts in society while developing skills to work with arts organizations, as a community arts advocate or as a creative professional yourself. Concentrate in the art that interests you most--from theater to photography to creative writing--while learning about the cultural, political, historical, technological and economic aspects of the arts.

Take classes with professors who are artists and experts in arts production, analysis and management, and participate in an internship at a local arts organization.

When you graduate, you'll be prepared to launch a career in:

  • nonprofit organizations, government and business as they relate to the arts
  • theater and performing arts
  • film and visual production
  • advertising, marketing and public relations
  • agencies that deal in, represent or interact with artists and the arts.

You'll also be well prepared for graduate-level study in business and the arts.
